I make creative documentaries, films that promote ethical causes and moving image work.
My films give a voice to those who are underrepresented, illustrating through documentary how the ordinary can be extraordinary. My films are sensitively made, honest portrayals of people and places, with a lightness of touch no matter how serious the subject. My work is often described as being 'painterly'.
I'm a self-shooter using a Canon C70 and CNE lenses. I also make docs using traditional analogue film (Super 8 and 16mm), depending on the project and subject matter.
Much of my film practice involves collaborative methods with communities to explore the storytelling medium, sense of place and cultural identity.
