The Tre Project – Rediscovering Cornwall and Isles of Scilly through Archive Film
‘Tre’ is a Cornish word for ‘home/homestead’. Using archive film as its inspiration and ‘home’ as its theme, Tre has transferred old cine footage, created new digital content and produced a programme of new films since 2009.
We have brought our unique contemporary events to venues across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly — from village halls to museums, galleries and festivals, from silent films with live musical accompaniments to Q&A’s with special guests — we’ve even screened films in a vintage mobile cinema!
Tre DVD is the culmination of 13 beautiful films spanning 110 years of local history! New films and some fascinating historical footage held by South West Film and TV Archive as well as locally donated material.
Buy it here for £13.50 (including P&P). Please note postage is for UK only. If outside the UK please get in touch first at firstname.lastname@example.org.

“The judges thought that this was a well-researched, well organised app with a waltz of local and historic video content”.
Using a mixture of archive film, photos, art and local stories, Walkabout St Ives is the first of a series of apps which enables you to explore Cornwall’s rich social history and cultural heritage through a storytelling trail.
Walkabout St Ives has local artist Naomi Frears and fifth generation fisherman Christopher (Bish) Care guiding you through the journey, sharing their memories and stories from living and working in this famous Cornish town.
Walkabout St Ives was supported by the memory Bay Oral History Porject partners in St Ives, South West FIlm and TV Archive and Penlee Gallery.
We are currently producing our second app, Walkabout West Cornwall.
